Ukraine resumes electricity imports from Russia

Ukraine resumed electricity imports from Russia on February 1, according to data provided by the European Network of Transmission System Operators ENTSO-E.

In particular, on February 1, it is planned to supply 200 MW every hour from 12.00 to 15.00 and from 20.00 to 21.00, and 100 MW every hour from 21.00 to 23.00.

According to the results of daily auctions, published on the website of National Power Company Ukrenergo, deliveries will be carried out by ONK-GROUP LLC. On February 2, the company will supply 300 MW every hour from 12.00 to 15.00 and from 20.00 to 21.00, as well as 200 MW every hour from 21.00 to 23.00.

Earlier, Ukrenergo stated that the provisions of the resolution of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities, which canceled the results of auctions for access to interstate power grids with Russia and Belarus in 2020, expired on January 1, 2021.
