Ukrainian infrastructure minister, Portuguese ambassador discuss cooperation in aviation, transport

Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has held a working meeting with Ambassador of Portugal to Ukraine Antonio Vasco Alves Machado during which the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various infrastructure areas, including aviation and transport, according to a statement posted on the website of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry.

"Vladyslav Kryklii positively noted the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport and noted the lack of problematic issues regarding permits for international road transport," the report said.

The parties also discussed cooperation in the field of civil aviation, in particular the sustainable development of scheduled air services between the two countries. Kryklii stressed that the signing of a common aviation area agreement with the EU remains a priority for Ukraine, the provisions of which provide for the removal of existing restrictions on the conditions of regular air services between Ukraine and the European Union.

The event was also attended by Ukrainian Deputy Infrastructure Minister for European Integration Natalia Forsiuk and representatives of the Embassy of Portugal in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry.
