Mariupol Sea Port increases volumes of cargo transshipment by 11%

In January-November 2020, Mariupol Sea Commercial Port increased the volumes of cargo transshipment by 11.2% or almost 600,000 tonnes – from 5.150 million to 5.725 million tonnes, the port’s press service wrote on its Facebook page.

Over the reporting period, the largest increase was recorded in the transshipment of ferrous metals  - by almost 32% or more than 900,000 tonnes (4,298 tonnes), grain crops -  by 23.4% (587,200 tonnes), construction cargo - by 9.2% (477,500 tonnes), and sunflower oil - by 7.3% (147,800 tonnes).

In January-November 2020, Mariupol Sea Commercial Port handled 466 vessels, which is 39 vessels more than in the relevant period last year (417 vessels).

As reported, Mariupol Sea Commercial Port handled almost 5.147 million tonnes of cargo in January-October 2020, which is 443.1 thousand tonnes more than the same period last year.
