PM Shmyhal: Measures to support business during quarantine to be finalized this week

This week, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture will finalize indicators on the support for industries affected by the coronavirus quarantine restrictions.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal made a relevant statement at the traditional conference call on preventing the spread of coronavirus disease, chaired by President Zelensky, the press service of the Head of State reports.

“It is also important to resume all economic programs and start new ones to help as many people as possible. After all, the epidemic situation around the world affects the economy,” Volodymyr Zelensky stated.

Prime Minister Shmyhal said that last week, pursuant to the instruction of the President, the Government had developed an action plan to support business and certain industries.

"This week, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture is to finalize indicators on the support for certain industries that have been affected due to the introduction of quarantine restrictions. The state will support entrepreneurs," he noted.

On November 11, the Cabinet of Ministers amended Resolution No. 641, introducing the weekend quarantine until November 30.

As of the morning of November 23, Ukraine has reported 635,689 COVID-19 cases, including 10,945 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
