Raiffeisen Bank Aval joins NBU's BankID system

Raiffeisen Bank Aval has joined the BankID remote identification system of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the central bank’s press service has written on Facebook.

“Raiffeisen Bank Aval has become the 23rd bank to successfully connect to the NBU's BankID System as an identifier. As of today, the bank's clients have received comfortable and secure access to government, financial, commercial and other services that are provided remotely and require identification," reads the report.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank launched the BankID project in 2015. The NBU owns the system and regulates the relations between participants of the system. Ukrainian banks, government agencies and commercial enterprise can connect to the NBU BankID system free of charge.

The system now includes 49 participants: 22 banks and 27 non-bank institutions (service portals).
