Ukraine's trade turnover declined by $8B since year-start

In January-October 2020, Ukraine's trade turnover amounted to USD 82.67 billion, which is USD 8 billion (9%) less compared to the same period last year, according to the Ukrainian State Customs Service.

The country imported goods worth USD 43.30 billion, which is USD 6.01 billion (12%) less than in 2019, and exported goods worth USD 39.64 billion, which is USD 2 billion (5%) less compared to last year. Accordingly, Ukraine’s foreign trade balance was negative and amounted to USD 3.4 billion.

According to the data, 44% of goods are imported from EU countries, 16% from CIS countries, and 40% from other countries.

At the same time, Ukraine exported 38% of goods to the EU, 12% to the CIS countries, and 50% to other countries.

As Ukrinform reported, in 2019, Ukraine's export of goods increased by 6.4% and amounted to USD 46.1 billion, while import of goods grew by 7.1% and totaled USD 60.1 billion.
