Finance Ministry: About UAH 3B to be spent on digitalization next year

The 2021 draft state budget envisages UAH 2.9 billion for digitalization of economic sectors, the press service of the Finance Ministry wrote on Facebook.

It is noted that out of UAH 2.9 billion provided for digitalization of the economy, UAH 1.3 billion will be allocated for informatization measures at state government bodies; UAH 1 billion will be spent on the web portal of electronic services "Diia", in particular for 100 government online services and 10 digital documents in a smartphone, and UAH 0.6 billion for the National Informatization Program.

The ministry notes that the allocation of almost UAH 100 million for the e-Social system will create a unified register of all recipients of social benefits and payments, automate all processes of allocation, verification and control of payments.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the study "Anti-corruption and economic potential of e-services" conducted  by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the total potential effect of digitalization of 17 most common services in seven areas is expected to reach UAH 1.3 billion annually.
