President Zelensky invites British investors to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has invited representatives of British financial circles to invest in Ukraine.

He stated this during his visit to the London Stock Exchange on October 8, Ukrinform reports with reference to the president’s press service.

During an official visit to the United Kingdom, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the London Stock Exchange, the world's oldest stock exchange. He also met with its leadership and Lord Mayor of the City of London William Russell.

Zelensky said that he and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom signed an agreement on political cooperation, free trade and strategic partnership, which is "a historic moment in relations between the two countries".

In this context, the Ukrainian president called on British financial circles to actively use new opportunities for investing in Ukraine, in particular as part of developing capital markets, privatizing state property and building financial infrastructure.

Also, the prospects of attracting British investors to the Kyiv City project were discussed.

"We would like to build Kyiv City - a living financial center, a financial heart, as well as an area where you want to work and live. The experience, expertise and assistance of the City of London as the world's leading financial center would be extremely useful for us," Zelensky stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky was on an official visit in the United Kingdom on October 7-8.
