Ukraine, Turkey agreed to create joint programs in space industry

Ukraine and Turkey have agreed to deepen cooperation to create joint programs in the space industry.

This issue was discussed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Urusky and an official delegation of the Republic of Turkey headed by Chairman of the National Space Agency of Turkey Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım, the Government portal reports.

“This joint project will significantly deepen cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in the space industry, and is the first step in implementing the agreements reached during the visit of a Ukrainian delegation to Turkey in late August, when Oleh Urusky met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other high-ranking officials of this country,” reads a report.

In particular, the Turkish delegation has recently visited the Pivdenne Design Bureau and Pivdennyi Machine-Building Plant in Dnipro.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the ways to unite the efforts of Ukraine and Turkey in the development and production of space technology. It is noted that the combination of scientific and industrial bases of the two countries will allow implementing this project in the future.
