Kuleba, Schallenberg discuss Ukrainian-Austrian business projects in infrastructure and energy sectors

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Minister Alexander Schallenberg have discussed the development of business projects between Austria and Ukraine in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

"The ministers discussed ambitious projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors, which can strengthen economic cooperation, increase trade and investment between Ukraine and Austria," reads a report issued by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service following a meeting of the foreign ministers within an official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Republic of Austria.

The situation in temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea was also considered.

"The Foreign Minister of Ukraine informed his Austrian counterpart about Ukraine's efforts in the political and diplomatic settlement of the situation in Donbas within the Normandy format. Dmytro Kuleba thanked Austria for its continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, its firm position on extending the EU sanction policy against the Russian Federation until it fully implements its obligations under the Minsk agreements,” reads the report.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the situation in Belarus.

 They also agreed on further coordination of efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and overcome its consequences.
