Finance Ministry: Ukraine expects to receive another tranche from IMF this year

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko has stated that Ukraine expects to receive another tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) this year.

At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Marchenko noted that the Finance Ministry is in constant contact with an IMF mission, in particular, regarding the issues on the use of funds from the Coronavirus Fund and bills that influence budget revenues and expenditures, as well as on compliance with the IMF cooperation program.

"We completely fulfill the structural benchmarks that have been envisaged," Marchenko said.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine has already received $2.1 billion from the IMF this year. According to preliminary forecasts of the Finance Ministry, Ukraine may receive another $1.4 billion from the Fund.
