Ukraine’s industrial production grows by 1.4%

In July 2020, Ukraine’s industrial production increased by 1.4% compared to the previous month but fell by 4.4% compared to July 2019.

As the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports, the growth of industrial production in July 2020 compared to the previous month was recorded in all regions except Donetsk, Poltava, Kherson, and Chernivtsi regions.

The State Statistics Service also provided data on the dynamics of industrial production over the past seven months. Thus, the volume of industrial production in January-July 2020 compared to January-July 2019 decreased by 7.7%, including in the mining industry and quarry development - by 5.5%, processing industries - by 9.2%, supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air - by 5.3%.

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the volume of industrial production in January-June 2020 in Ukraine decreased by 8.3% compared to the same period last year.

In 2019, the industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 1.8% compared to 2018.
