Economic Development Ministry: Ukraine's economy to grow by 4.6 percent in 2021

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine forecasts GDP growth of 4.6% with inflation at the level of 7.3% in 2021.

This is stated in the draft resolution “On approval of the forecast of economic and social development of Ukraine for 2021-2023” endorsed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In 2021, the economic growth is forecasted at the level of 4.6%, in 2022 - 4.3%, in 2023 - 4.7%.

At the same time, inflation of 7.3% is expected at the end of 2021, 6.2% - at the end of 2022, and 6% - at the end of 2023.

The exchange rate for 2021 was revised and defined as UAH 29.1 per USD 1.

The forecast for economic and social development of Ukraine for 2021-2023 also stipulates an increase in a minimum wage up to UAH 6,250 in 2021, UAH 6,700 in 2022, and up to UAH 7,176 UAH in 2023.

According to forecasts, average nominal monthly wage will be UAH 13,600 in 2021, UAH 15,400 in 2022, and UAH 17.170 in 2023. At the same time, unemployment rate will account for 9.2% of the working population next year, 8.5% in 2022, and 8% in 2023.
