Stefanishyna calls for strengthening dialogue on coordinating donor assistance to Ukraine

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna has called for strengthening dialogue at all levels between ministries, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers and international partners on the coordination of donor technical assistance to Ukraine, according to the Eurointegration portal.

"Our goal is to strengthen the dialogue at all levels between certain ministries, international partners and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, which is now responsible for coordinating technical assistance. Coordination at the level of the Prime Minister's Forum is also important for regular discussions at the highest level," Stefanishyna said during an online meeting of the Strategic platform for the coordination of donor assistance to Ukraine.

Participants of the online meeting discussed reforms envisaged by the Government Action Program and emphasized the need for a more detailed Action Plan, which will serve as a guide for the future coordination of assistance.

In this context, Stefanishyna noted the importance of a new macro-financial assistance program worth EUR 1.2 billion to Ukraine.

"Representatives of the government and partners on development were unanimous in their positive assessment of progress in achieving Ukraine's sustainable development goals, which is reflected in the Voluntary [National] Review presented to Ukraine on July 15," reads the report.

According to the Eurointegration portal, more than 70 representatives from international organizations, various partner countries and the government of Ukraine took part in the online meeting of the platform. In particular, among the participants were UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani and Head of Cooperation and European Union Delegation to Ukraine Stefan Schleuning.
