"Ihor Petrashko about beekeeping: ‘About UAH 150 million will be allocated for beekeeping. I hope that such level of support will remain in the future,” the press service of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) posted on Twitter.

As reported by Ukrinform, on May 20, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded state support by a total sum of UAH 1 billion for the development of animal husbandry and processing of agricultural products in 2020.

In particular, according to Petrashko, the government has introduced beekeeping support for the first time this year. Stimulating the development of this industry will help increase the number of industrial apiaries, introduce traceability of the origin of beekeeping products, as well as improving its quality and competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets. In addition, according to the minister, the beekeeping industry is very important for the development of small business in villages.
