VR committee recommends MPs to adopt law on public electronic registries

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Digital Transformation has recommended that MPs adopt as a whole the draft law, No.2110, "On public electronic registries".

The relevant report has been posted on the parliament’s website.

"Committee members considered 124 amendments to the draft law, of which 123 were taken into account (including 9 by the editorial board), and rejected one. The committee decided to recommend the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the bill at second reading and as a whole," reads the statement.

In particular, the bill is aimed at the creation of a unified system of public electronic registries, the definition of a unified institutional structure of public electronic registries and unified requirements for their creation, maintenance, interaction, administration, modernization, reorganization and liquidation, as well as the creation of information registries records and its use in other information systems, when conducting permitting and other management activities, the provision of administrative services.

The committee supported the establishment of new subcommittees: on e-democracy and digital rights and competencies.

As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill, No.2110, “On public electronic registries" at first reading on October 31, 2019.
