Ryanair performs first flight from Italy to Ukraine

Ireland's low-cost carrier Ryanair has made its first regular flight from Bergamo (Italy) to Ukraine, according to Avianews.

"Ryanair made its first scheduled flight from Italy to Ukraine on July 6, having transported passengers from Bergamo to Boryspil Airport," the report reads.

According to the report, on Tuesday, July 7 the company plans to perform flights from Rome to Kyiv, from Bologna to Lviv, from Bergamo and Bologna to Odesa, and from Bergamo to Kharkiv. In the coming days, Ryanair will expand its route network from Italy to Ukraine to 11 destinations, on which the low-cost carrier plans to conduct 28 flights a week.

Ryanair will perform flights between Kyiv and Bergamo four times a week from July 6; between Kyiv and Rome (Fiumicino) five times a week from July 6; between Kyiv and Bologna three times a week from July 7; and between Kyiv and Catania twice a week from July 7.

In addition, Ryanair will operate flights to Lviv from Bologna twice a week from July 6; from Bergamo twice a week from July 7; and from Rome (Fiumicino) twice a week from July 8.

Ryanair will also conduct flights between Odesa and the following cities: Bologna, twice a week from July 6; Bergamo, twice a week from July 6; Rome (Fiumicino), twice a week from July 8.

Ryanair will perform flights to Kharkiv from Bergamo twice a week from July 6.

Before booking a flight, passengers should take into account the possibility of the company changing the schedule for commercial reasons or due to possible government bans. It should also be borne in mind that Italy has not opened its borders to Ukrainian citizens.
