Government adopts resolution simplifying international trade in grain crops

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution providing for the simplification of international trade in grain crops, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine has reported.

"On June 3, the government approved a resolution that helps reduce the financial burden on grain exporters, strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian products on the world market and improve the protection of Ukraine from imports of certain dangerous organisms," the ministry said.

The resolution, in particular, provides for the elimination of additional regulation for grain exporters by abolishing the obligation to use a recirculation system for grain fumigation.

The document also regulates the list of objects of the regulation (when moving through the territory of Ukraine, import, export and re-export) by including in this list the organisms that may pose phytosanitary risks (mites, nematodes, fungi).

The resolution also provides for the unification of the inspection and sampling procedure (the form of the act is brought into line with the selection procedure).
