Deposit Guarantee Fund completes payments to Unison Bank depositors

The Deposit Guarantee Fund has completed payments of guaranteed refunds to the depositors of PJSC Unison Bank, according to the Fund’s press service.

On May 13, 2020, the Deposit Guarantee Fund submitted documents for the liquidation of PJSC Unison Bank to the state registrar of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and public organizations to record the termination of the bank as a legal entity. In this regard, the Deposit Guarantee Fund announced the completion of payments of guaranteed refunds to the depositors of PJSC Unison Bank.

Within the limits of guaranteed refund payments, the depositors of PJSC Unison Bank received UAH 118.5 million, which is 99.6% of the total guaranteed amount.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank of Ukraine in April 2016 declared PJSC Unison Bank insolvent. The NBU noted that Unison Bank became the second bank to be withdrawn from the Ukrainian market because of its ownership structure failed to comply with transparency requirements.
