NBU: Money transfers to Ukraine exceed USD 2.9 bln in Q1 2020

In January-March 2020, the amount of private money transfers through traditional and unofficial channels to Ukraine made up more than USD 2.9 billion, and from Ukraine - almost USD 154 million, according to data published by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Facebook.  

"In January-March 2020, the volume of private money transfers through traditional and unofficial channels: to Ukraine from abroad amounted to more than USD 2,900 million in equivalent; from Ukraine - almost  USD 154 million in equivalent,” reads the report.

In particular, USD 106 million in equivalent was sent from Ukraine through money transfer systems.

The largest amount of funds over the reporting period came to Ukraine from the United States, Israel, Russia, and Poland. Most of the funds from Ukraine was sent to Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, USA, and Turkey.
