Government appoints acting board member of Ukrzaliznytsia

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution to appoint Director for Infrastructure of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia as acting member of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.

"To appoint Director for Infrastructure of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Roman Veprytskyi as acting member of the Board of the company, until the appointment of a member of the board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia in accordance with the established procedure,” reads the resolution as of April 15 posted on the Government portal.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, Veprytskyi will be responsible for the direction of cargo operations.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on April 15 dismissed Zeljko Marcek as acting CEO of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia and appointed Ivan Yuryk to replace him.

In 2017, Ivan Yuryk was appointed as deputy director of the Investment Promotion Office of the Government of Ukraine, UkraineInvest. From June 20, 2018 to June 5, 2019, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. On June 14, 2019, he became a member of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
