Government replaces acting head of Ukrzaliznytsia

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Zeljko Marcek as acting CEO of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia and appointed Ivan Yuryk to replace him, according to Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii.

"The government dismissed Zeljko Marcek from the post of acting chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia and dismissed him as member of the Board. Ivan Yuryk will be acting CEO of Ukrzaliznytsia," Kryklii wrote on his Telegram channel.

In 2017, Ivan Yuryk was appointed as deputy director of the Investment Promotion Office of the Government of Ukraine, UkraineInvest. From June 20, 2018 to June 5, 2019, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. On June 14, 2019, he became a member of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on February 5, 2020 approved a resolution to appoint Marcek as acting chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, who was a member of the Supervisory Board of the company since 2016.
