Ukrainian market of new passenger cars grows 11% - UkrAutoProm

In January-March 2020, 20.3 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 11% more than in the relevant period last year, according to the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association, UkrAutoProm.

“In the first quarter of 2020, 20.3 thousand new passenger cars were registered, which is 11% more than in the relevant period last year,” reads the statement.

At the same time, the number of new passenger cars registered in March 2020 decreased by 15% and made up 6,244 units.

In March 2020, Renault cars had the largest demand, with 1,222 cars registered. Its share on the market of new passenger cars grew by 20% from March 2019.

The second in terms of sales was Japan’s Toyota with 661 cars sold, down 21% from March 2019.

KIA ranked third. It sold 576 cars in March 2020, which is 19% less year-on-year.

As Ukrinform reported, lost 88.5 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine in 2019, which is 8% more than in 2018 (81.8 thousand).
