Government to develop new programs for business and investors – PM Shmygal

Newly appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal has stated that the new government intends to develop a range of economic programs for medium and large businesses, as well as attract external and internal investments.

"We will work on developing the economy. We will work on a range of economic programs. The first and only one program initiated by President Zelensky [Affordable Loans] 5-7-9 to develop small and medium business has been launched. We want it to be extremely effective and successful, but it’s not enough," Shmygal said during the political talk show Pravo na Vladu (Right to Power).

According to him, there should be a number of programs for medium and large businesses, as well as external and internal investments.

"Today we compete on the international market with our neighbors Poland, Romania, Hungary, which have moved further. We have to use the best cases of regional competition that will allow both domestic and foreign investors to develop the economy," added Shmygal.

As Ukrinform reported, on March 4, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new Cabinet of Ministers led by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
