German investors to build three wind power plants in Odesa region

German entrepreneurs decided to build three wind power plants in Odesa region with a total investment of EUR 450 million, the press service of Odesa Regional State Administration has reported.

"Today I signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives of the German company Notus Energy. They invest more than EUR 450 million in our region,” Chairman of Odesa Regional State Administration Maksym Kutsy wrote on his Facebook page on March 4.

The company will build three wind power plants in Ovidiopol district within two years. It will build power lines and electrical substations, as well as reconstruct existing substations and other facilities, to ensure the energy security of the district and the region.

The Germans will invest EUR 30,000 in local infrastructure and social facilities for each wind power plant. "And most importantly - this is another step towards preserving the environment and developing renewable energy,” Kutsy noted.
