DTEK Naftogaz intends to increase gas production in next five years

CEO of DTEK Naftogaz Ihor Shchurov has stated that the company intends to increase gas production to 5 billion cubic meters (bcm), according to company’s website.

“DTEK Naftogaz plans to increase gas production to two billion cubic meters in 2021 and then increase this figure to five billion cubic meters in the next five years,” said Shchurov.

According to him, systemic investments and innovations implemented by the company will contribute to the growth of production. Thus, due to the use of modern technologies, DTEK Naftogaz successfully develops tight gas reservoirs and shortened the time for drilling deep wells to a record 3.5 months.

“By investing billions of hryvnias annually in drilling, geology and innovation, DTEK Naftogaz has increased its production more than threefold at two mature gas fields. In the next five years, we plan to reach a new dynamics of development and triple the current figure,” said Shchurov.
