SOCAR may participate in Odesa Port Plant privatization

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) may participate in the privatization of PJSC Odesa Port Plant, Mykola Shchurikov, the first deputy director of the plant, has reported on Facebook.

"On January 29, Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Andriy Bohdan, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Serhiy Ignatovskyi and representatives of the Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR visited Odesa Port Plant... During the meeting, the issues of possible participation of the Azerbaijani company in the future privatization of Odesa Port Plant were discussed," he wrote.

Shchurikov noted that the meeting was held as part of the program initiated by the Ukrainian president on attracting investments to the country.

As Ukrinform reported, the State Property Fund of Ukraine appointed Fund’s Deputy Chairman Serhiy Ignatovskyi as Supervisory Board Head of PJSC Odesa Port Plant, 99.5667% shares of which belong to the state.
