Almost UAH 9 bln transferred to accounts of insolvent banks in 2019 - Deposit Guarantee Fund

In 2019, almost UAH 9 billion was transferred to the accounts of insolvent banks, according to the press service of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine.

“In January-December 2019, UAH 8.9 billion was transferred to the accounts of banks being under liquidation. UAH 7.8 billion was received from the sale of assets of banks being under liquidation, UAH 1.0 billion from repayment of loans, UAH 0.1 billion from property rent, and UAH 0.02 billion from redemption of securities,” reads the report.

The largest funds came to: JSC Delta Bank - UAH 1.6 billion (including UAH 1.3 billion from the sale of assets), JSC VTB Bank - UAH 1.6 billion (UAH 1.5 billion from the sale of assets), JSC CB Nadra - UAH 1.5 billion (UAH 1.4 billion from the sale of assets), PJSC Bank Finance and Credit - UAH 0.8 billion (UAH 0.8 billion from the sale of assets), PJSC Bank Forum - UAH 0.6 billion (almost the total sum from the sale of assets),

In December 2019, insolvent banks received UAH 1,046.9 million, including UAH 1,000.9 million from the sale of assets.
