Zelensky allocates UAH 2 bln for development of small business

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law introducing amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020" regarding the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, according to the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the page of a respective bill, No. 2589, the document was returned with the president's signature on January 21.

The Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020" on Ensuring the Functioning of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund" was adopted on January 14.

The law amended the state budget for 2020. In particular, it is envisaged to increase the revenues of the special state budget fund from the funds from early repayment of bills of exchange of the Deposit Guarantee Fund by UAH 2 billion and to send them to finance a new budget program to ensure the functioning of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund in 2020.

The law is aimed at the implementation of the program of state support for small business in Ukraine, the development of entrepreneurship, the promotion of production, export, import substitution, high-tech manufacturing, energy efficiency, innovation, job creation, small business expansion, creation of new businesses, return of labor migrants, etc.
