Four countries may take interest in Ukrainian gas storage facilities

Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Moldova may take interest in the Ukrainian gas storage facilities.

"Our neighbors may take interest in our gas storage facilities. In particular, Poland announced plans to expand its own gas storage facilities. Moldova, Romania, and Hungary also have corresponding needs. We have significant infrastructure opportunities that currently are not utilized fully," CEO of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine Serhiy Makohon posted on Facebook.

According to him, the Ukrainian gas storage facilities are the largest in Europe, but less than 50% of their capacity is utilized at the moment.

“The development of regional cooperation should become one of the priorities of Ukraine’s energy policy for the coming years,” added Makohon.
