Kyiv got over UAH 63 mln in tourism tax revenues last year

In 2019, the Ukrainian city of Kyiv received more than UAH 63 million in revenues from tourism tax, which is almost twice as much as in 2018.

Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Maryna Honda stated this on Monday, January 13, the administration’s press service reported.

“Last year, tourism tax revenues increased by more than UAH 30 million. In 2018, they amounted to UAH 32.9 million; in 2019, the city received a record UAH 63.6 million with a planned revenue of UAH 35 million. This indicates that Kyiv is becoming more interesting for tourists both from Ukraine and abroad, and that the tourism industry is very promising for the capital," she said.

According to her, last year, most foreign tourists came to Kyiv from Belarus, Israel, the United States, Germany and Turkey. There was also an increase in foreign tourists from India, Canada and Sweden.
