Economic Development Ministry outlines priorities for 2020

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine identified the priorities for 2020.

"At the beginning of the new year, we are sharing plans for priority areas of Ministry’s activity. Five large and 300 small state-owned enterprises will be privatized. We will update the strategy of the defense-industrial complex after the completion of its review. To start the reform, it is also necessary to pass ten bills. The Law of Ukraine "On Agricultural Land Circulation" will enter into force, we will set up the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund worth UAH 240 million, and UAH 4.4 billion is budgeted for state support in 2020. We will negotiate an update of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in order to increase the opportunities and improve the conditions for our exporters. The Law of Ukraine "On Labor" and the new version of the Law of Ukraine "On Employment of the Population" will take effect,” the Ministry's press service posted on Facebook.

The Ministry underscores that these areas are the basis of joint actions with the Government for real change. In 2020, the Government plans major changes in four priority areas: large-scale construction (infrastructure: roads, hub schools, kindergartens, emergency medical centers, thermal modernization of buildings), land reform, medical reform and provision of affordable credits: for farmers, for entrepreneurs, for starting business.
