Economy Ministry to review macroeconomic forecast at the beginning of next year

The Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine will revise the macroeconomic forecast for 2020 at the beginning of the year.

"The NBU reviews the macro forecast at the end of January. We will unofficially review at the beginning of the year too. Officially, we will have to provide a new forecast in the spring. However, I think we will do it earlier,” Ministry for Development of Economy Tymofiy Mylovanov wrote on Facebook.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ministry for Development of Economy in October represented its macroeconomic forecast for the next year. According to the first scenario, a conservative estimate, the ministry repeated the World Bank's forecast, which envisages a 3.7% GDP growth in 2020. This estimate is higher than the forecast in the spring - 3.3%. According to the optimistic scenario, economic growth is expected to reach 4.8% of GDP.
