Ukravtodor starts testing Waze navigation app

The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has started using the Waze navigation system.

“Ukravtodor has started working with the Waze navigation system. From now on, all complaints about roads from users of the program are collected in a single database, which is available in real time to the road service,” the agency’s press service wrote on Facebook.

According to Ukravtodor, the agency will be able to collect more information about the state of roads in the country and promptly receive traffic restrictions and respond to them.

The system is currently being tested in Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, but soon it will be used throughout the country.

Waze is a free interactive navigation app that allows tracking traffic on the road in real time, getting information and alerting fellow drivers about traffic, police, accidents, detours, speed traps, construction, and anything else that’s happening nearby or on route. Maps in Waze are created by the users themselves (community of volunteer editors).
