Honcharuk, Polish prime minister discuss issues of international freight transport permits

Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk during the first phone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki discussed the issue of international freight transport permits and a number of other relevant topics, the Government portal reported.

“The lack of permits from the Republic of Poland for Ukraine to carry out international road freight transport operations creates problems for thousands of Ukrainians, and is also a factor in artificial restriction of the development of bilateral trade relations,” Honcharuk said.

The prime ministers discussed the challenges in this field and agreed that this issue would be considered in late October by the infrastructure ministers of both states at the meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish joint commission on international road transport.

Honcharuk also noted the priorities for Ukraine, namely the maintaining and strengthening the European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the rule of law and judicial reform, the fight against corruption, economic growth.

Morawiecki, in turn, noted that the outlined reforms are extremely important and the Republic of Poland will continue to provide support to Ukraine on the way of its development.

In addition, Honcharuk stressed the importance of bilateral strategic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland and invited the polish prime minister to pay an official visit to Kyiv.
