Ukraine's economy expected to grow to 3.5-3.7% in 2020 - Mylovanov

Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov has stated that Ukraine’s economy is projected to grow to the level of 3.5-3.7% in 2020.

"According to our projections for 2020, Ukraine will have 3.5-3.7%," Mylovanov said this at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to him, there are some forecasts for Ukraine’s economy growth from international partners. In particular, the World Bank's forecast for Ukraine’s economy is the same as the projections of the Ministry of Economic Development – at the level of 3.7%. The IMF forecast will be similar to the Ministry’s projections although it may be slightly lower, Mylovanov said.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 18, the Verkhovna Rada approved at first reading a bill "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020" (No.2000). A total of 255 MPs voted in favor of this document, with at least 226 votes needed to make a decision.
