Almost UAH 200 bln transferred to local budgets in January-September 2019

In January-September 2019, UAH 199.6 billion was transferred to local budgets, which is UAH 32 billion more than in the relevant period last year, according to the website of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.

"In the first three quarters of the current year, local budgets amounted to UAH 199.6 billion, which is UAH 32 billion more compared to the relevant period last year," reads the report.

In particular, the revenues of local budgets over the reporting period were almost three times higher than the figures recorded for the whole of 2014, when the legislative framework for financial decentralization was being developed.

The largest revenues to local budgets came by proceeds from personal income tax. Over the three quarters of the current year, local budgets were replenished by UAH 119.3 billion in personal income tax, which is UAH 21.2 billion more than in the relevant period last year.

Also, local budgets received UAH 25 billion in land fees (an increase of UAH 4.5 billion), UAH 24.6 billion in single tax (an increase of UAH 4.5 billion), UAH 3.7 billion in real estate tax (an increase of 34.5%).
