Kyiv ranks 34th among global startups – Klitschko

The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, ranks the 34th in the list of world startups.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this at the opening of Kyiv Smart City Forum 2019 on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Kyiv enters the top 50 cities in the development of urban video surveillance systems. In this list, we are ahead of Rome. We rank the 34th in the number of global startups. We started from scratch. We have created a large technological platform for our city. Today, all city agencies are united by a common communication network," Klitschko said.

According to him, the infrastructure of a smart city provides for the creation of safe and comfortable conditions for its residents. "Therefore, Kyiv actively uses new digital technologies, launches services for its residents ... Kyiv was the first city that launched the ProZorro system, thanks to which it has already saved more than UAH 6 billion," the mayor noted.
