Airbus to deliver several helicopters to Ukraine this year – Interior Ministry

French company Airbus Helicopters will deliver several more helicopters to Ukraine by the end of 2019, Ukraine's Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Honcharov has said.

"We expect another two or three machines this year. This is a changing figure, as the transfer of equipment is expected at the end of the year and everything will depend on the weather conditions. In addition, we plan to get H125s in the fourth quarter of this year, which is earlier than expected. This is a single-engine helicopter that will be used to train flight crews in Ukraine," the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry quoted him as saying.

Honcharov stressed that four helicopters had arrived in Ukraine since the signing of a contract with the French company and that three of them had already been transferred for the needs of the State Emergency Service and another is being used by the National Guard.

On July 14, 2018, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters for the purchase of 55 H225, H145 and H125 helicopters for the ministry.
