IMF mission arrives in Kyiv

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has arrived in Ukraine to discuss cooperation, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has said.

“It is too early to talk about the results [of the visit of the IMF mission to Ukraine]. The mission has just arrived in Ukraine. We are starting negotiations, and they will continue until September 24. We want our colleagues from the IMF to leave Kyiv with a preliminary agreement at the technical level to launch a new program at the end of the year. This task will be completed," Honcharuk said at a briefing after a government meeting on Wednesday.

He is sure that problematic issues, including those related to PrivatBank, will not be a stumbling block to negotiations with the IMF.
