Ukraine’s average salary doubled over three years

The average salary in Ukraine has doubled over three years. In December 2015 it amounted to UAH 5,230, and in December 2018 - UAH 10,573.

First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The minimum wage in Ukraine tripled over three years. As of January 1, 2016, it amounted to UAH 1,378, and as of January 1, 2019, it was UAH 4,173. The average salary in Ukraine doubled: in December 2015 it was UAH 5,230, and in December 2018 - UAH 10,573,” Kubiv said.

As reported, the average nominal wage in Ukraine in May 2019 amounted to UAH 10,239, which is 17.4% more than the average wage in May of last year.
