Ukraine increases honey exports by 20% this year – Economic Development Ministry

In January-May 2019, Ukraine increased the volume of honey exports by 20.2% compared to the same period last year and sold the product worth USD 40.7 million, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

"Ukraine is one of the largest honey exporters in the world ... For five months of this year, Ukraine increased its export volume by 20.2% compared to the same period of last year and sold it for USD 40.7 million to 27 countries," the Ministry reports on Facebook.

The largest consumers of Ukrainian honey are the European Union, the USA, Turkey and Israel.

The Economic Development Ministry recalls that in 2018 Ukraine exported honey worth USD 98 million.
