Half of Ukrainian frozen fish exports going to EU

In January-May 2019, Ukraine exported frozen fish to the European Union countries to the tune of $231,700.

"Over the first five months of 2019, 178,000 tonnes of Ukrainian frozen fish were delivered to the foreign markets to the tune of $498,000. Thus, 46% of all Ukrainian frozen fish exports (in monetary terms) went to the European countries ($231,700)," the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reports.

It is also noted that Ukrainian frozen fish exports to the CIS countries totaled $160,000, to the Asian countries - $103,400.

The major importers of Ukrainian frozen fish were Moldova (65.2 tonnes to the tune of $159,500), Hungary (42.2 tonnes, $147,000), Turkey (13.1 tonnes, $52,600), Georgia (13.6 tonnes, $49,700), Germany (25.2 tonnes, $39,900), Poland (13.1 tonnes, $24,400) and Romania (3.5 tonnes, $18,500).
