Nine companies penalized for unethical business practices

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has fined nine enterprises for violating legislation that protects the integrity of economic competition, the committee's press service has reported.

In particular, these enterprises are Ukrtekhbud Ltd, AKR Systema Ltd, Veha-bud Ltd, Spetsbud-3, Kharkivrehionhaz Ltd, Fialka, Ukrbudremmontazh Inzhynirynh Ltd, Elikon Ltd, and Styl-Dekor Ltd.

According to the report, six enterprises were fined for violations related to Articles 6 and 50 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of Economic Competition," in the form of committing anticompetitive concerted actions to distort auction results. In particular, this concerns Ukrtekhbud Ltd (fined UAH 1,043,215), AKR Systema Ltd (UAH 649,010), Fialka (UAH 6,900,000), Ukrbudremmontazh Inzhynirynh Ltd (UAH 6,900,000), Elikon Ltd (UAH 1,116,000), and Styl-Dekor Ltd (UAH 3,623,000).

It notes two other companies were also fined under these articles, however, for committing two offenses. They are Veha-bud Ltd (fined UAH 1,347,500) and Spetsbud-3 (fined UAH 1,347,500).

According to the report, Kharkivrehionhaz was fined UAH 3 million for violating legislation in the field of economic competition provided for in Articles 13 and 50 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of Economic Competition," in the form of abuse of a monopoly position in the market of services on the sale of liquefied natural gas for household needs of the population (in gas cylinders) within populated localities of Kharkiv region not connected to gas supply.
