Ukraine, Belarus sign protocol on cooperation in fight against customs violations

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus have signed the Protocol on cooperation in the field of combating customs violations related to the air transportation of goods, according to the press service of the State Fiscal Service.

"Signed as part of a working visit to Brussels (the Kingdom of Belgium), the document [the Protocol] will increase the effectiveness of cooperation in the field of exchange of information about possible violations related to the air transportation,” reads the report.

The Protocol was signed by acting Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Vlasov and Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Senko.

"We expect that the cooperation between law enforcement units of the two countries will intensify so that to combat customs violations related to the air transportation of goods through the state borders of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus," Vlasov said.
