Ukraine’s Accounting Chamber to adopt UAE's experience in combating corruption

The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with the State Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates as the Ukrainian side is going to adopt the UAE's experience in combating corruption and conducting IT audits.

"Today, I am glad to welcome in Ukraine a really distinguished guest, Dr. Harib Saeed Al Amimi - the chairman of INTOSAI and the president of the State Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates. We have common priorities in the activities of our institutions: protection of state funds and fight against corruption. Today, we have signed a memorandum of cooperation between our institutions and agreed that the Accounting Chamber auditors will adopt the experience of the UAE in combating corruption and conducting IT audits," Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan posted on Facebook.

The Ukrainian official noted that the highest audit institution of the UAE is one of the most advanced and developed in the world and is well-known for the active use of cutting-edge technologies and successful combating corruption.

The International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) operates as an umbrella organisation for the external government audit community. For more than 50 years it has provided an institutionalised framework for supreme audit institutions to promote development and transfer of knowledge, improve government auditing worldwide and enhance professional capacities.
