Kubiv to sign agreement with EU to extend funding for nuclear safety in Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft supplementary agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission on the financing of the 2011 Annual Action Programme on Nuclear Safety.

This decision was made at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Government authorized First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv to sign the document.

The supplementary agreement provides for the extension of the implementation period of the program until December 31, 2019 and the completion of the project U4.01 / 11E "Creation of Facility for Release of Materials from Regulatory Control at Chernobyl NPP", the budget of which is almost EUR 2.6 million.
