Russia classifies data on companies operating in Crimea

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree that provides an opportunity to classify information on companies operating in Crimea in the Russian Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The document was published on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation, the Crimea.Realities reports.

According to the document, access to the information in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities may be closed in three cases: if foreign sanctions are imposed on a company; if a company is authorized by the bank to fulfill the state defense order; if a company is located, operates or is registered in Crimea.

In particular, the information on branches and representative offices of a legal entity in the annexed Crimea, as well as data on co-owners, company managers and licenses of the company, can be classified.
