Ukraine resumes oil transit to EU

JSC Ukrtransnafta has resumed transit of oil to European consumers, the company's press service has said in a report obtained by Ukrinform.

"Today, on May 11, at 14:35, JSC Ukrtransnafta resumed transit of oil to European consumers through the Druzhba trunk pipeline," the statement reads.

Before the resumption of oil transit, experts from Hungarian company MOL additionally examined oil in the pipeline and confirmed their willingness to accept it.

Earlier reports said that that oil transit through Ukraine was suspended on April 25 in the evening after European consumers refused to take Russian oil with high levels of organic chlorides.
