The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated a budget subvention of UAH 2.1 billion for the development of united territorial communities.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at a government meeting on April 24, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“We approved the allocation of a government grant worth UAH 2.1 billion to support the united territorial communities. It concerns the construction, reconstruction and repair of thousands of objects necessary for the communities, including local roads, schools, kindergartens, dispensaries,” he said.

According to him, 70% of Ukrainians now realize the benefits of decentralization.

“The united territorial communities for the period of 2016-2018 received the opportunity to build and reconstruct 6,380 objects - these are roads, schools, kindergartens, squares, park, transport,” Groysman said.

According to him, the task of the authorities is to ensure that the reform of decentralization covers Ukraine 100%.
